Description
Ylang Ylang is the name given to a small tree  and its star-shaped flowers.  Its romantic name means “flower of flowers“.  It grows in the rainforests of Indonesia, the Philippines, Madagascar and the Polynesian islands.  The Hawaiian name of the plant is Moto‘oi.  The essential oil extracted by steam distillation from the fresh ylang ylang flower is used extensively in perfumery for oriental or floral themed perfumes.
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is beautifully fragrant, with a smooth, sweet, exotic, heady and alluring scent.
Caution: Â Â It is classed as a non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing oil. Â However, if it is used too much it may cause headaches and nausea.
